Since women wears a lot of make-up, taking care of her skin is really important to her and some of the best ways to do that are recipes that can be made right out of the garden. With simple ingredients like these herbs, fruits, and vegetables, it’s easy to create an entire beauty routine, from toner to moisturizer.

These are all easy recipes people can make themselves, with simple ingredients that people can grow themselves, or find anywhere. In addition to being natural, they are also affordable.

Natural Skin Cleanser
Use slices of tomato or cucumber as a natural skin cleanser. The acid in them cleans the skin. Simply wipe the slices over your skin, and wipe with a soft cloth. Quick and refreshing!

Steam Treatment
To unclog your pores, sprinkle 1 cup of fresh mint into a bowl of steaming hot water. Put a towel over your head (like a tent) as you lean towards the bowl, and steam your face for 8 - 10 minutes.

Skin Freshener
To close your refreshed pores, blend a few sprigs of peppermint leaves with crushed ice. Apply to face for a quick skin freshener.

Toner
Combine 3/4 - 1 cup dried sage leaves, with 1 1/2 cups witch hazel in a clear bottle with a cap. Set in a sunny place for 3 weeks. Strain. Apply with cotton balls. For added refreshment during warm weather, keep refrigerated until ready to use.

Tip: you can dry fresh sage by microwaving it for a few minutes.

Peaches and Cream Moisturizer
Combine one ripe peach with enough heavy cream to make a soft cream when combined in a blender or food processor container. Massage into skin once daily. Keep mixture refrigerated.

Breath Freshener
Chew on fresh parsley and fresh, raw watercress to help fight bad breath.
